Meet Red
Unfortunately Red was returned this weekend and is back on the hunt for his forever family. This boy originally came in with Lenore and Amelia. After a couple weeks with his last family they realized that he is not a great fit for a family with cats. Red has a high prey drive and will do best in a home with out cats or other small animals. He hates being back in boarding and just wants to hide. We are giving him a few days to relax before we introduce him to our doggie daycare pack and reunite him with Amelia.

Red and Amelia were reunited this week!  While Red is still a bit nervous, he’s made so much progress in just the last couple of weeks. He was initially scared, but once I let about 6 dogs into the yard, Red joined the pack and started following them around. It was such a heartwarming moment to watch! You could really see him start to relax with the other dogs around him. He’s not a big fan of being touched just yet, but he does great when it’s time to leash him.

Red just came in from the same home as Lenore and Amelia. Red will also need an understanding family that can give him time to adjust. He’s precious but like the others is also very scared and has not come out from hiding in the corner. Red does have a strong prey drive. He would do best in a home without cats or other small animal.

Given their condition and steps it will take to get them better, the vet care for Amelia, Lenore and Red has already surpassed $1500. If you can find it in your heart to donate to their care, please visit https://labradorfriends.com/donate/.
