Meet Shula

Shula was just surrendered back to LFS after being adopted 10 years ago. We are doing full work up on her and after results on a couple of the tests, we are worried about the possibility of bladder cancer. We won’t have answers for quite a few days. Please donate for her care if you can .

Updated 05/02: Well, not the outcome we were hoping for. She has been confirmed to have bladder cancer (Transitional cell carcinoma/urothelial carcinoma). It is generally a pretty aggressive kind of cancer with an average survival time of 6-12 months, or less if pain and secondary UTIs cannot be managed.

After being surrendered by her family of 10 years, sweet Shula probably did not think it could get much worse. We are so thankful for her foster family that is committed to keep her comfortable and loved through this difficult time.
