Happy Gotcha Day Stacy!
“HI I’M STACY!! I’m about 5 years old and ready to find a foster or forever home. I was originally found as a stray and spent a couple months in the shelter before these nice people rescued me. I can be a little nervous with new people in new environments, but once I get to know you and you feed me some treats, I start to show my friendly personality. I like to go on walks and sniff around the yard. I really love snacks and cookies and sometimes I get a little too excited taking them from you, but I’m working on it. My caretakers say I’m kennel trained, and I like to lay on my big soft bed. I know how to sit and I’d love to learn some more tricks! I like other dogs that don’t try to jump all over me, and me and Dixie Rose have become walking buddies over the past week. She and I got this thing called kennel cough from the shelter, but now we’re all better. I would love to be your walking partner!

I am currently going through treatment for those pesky heartworms. I am doing well with my treatment so far and I take my medicine like a champ. I need a laid-back foster home where I can relax during my treatment. Do you think you can let me stay with you?”

Foster update 02/22/21: Stacy is doing great. She is housebroken. She has only had one accident since she has been here and that was my fault. Stacy is one of the very few fosters I have ever had that will willingly go in her crate. She knows “sit.” Stacy gets along with the other dogs and is very affectionate to me. She absolutely “LOVES” food. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, or treats, you have Stacy’s undivided attention. It is hard to get a good photo of her. She is quite camera shy. She enjoys exploring the backyard and loves her human’s attention. She likes to run around in the morning after breakfast, but by evening time she is ready to curl up on a bed or blanket for a good snooze. Stacy is very sweet. Such a sweet dog.
