Foster update 03/16/2021: Tank is super sweet and wants to be wherever we are.  After work when we are relaxing in front of the tv, he likes to rotate between my husband and me taking snoozes in our laps. He has an adorable little snore when he naps.

He is basically a big puppy that no one has really worked with. He’s totally teachable but right now he doesn’t have any manners. For example, he will counter surf if we aren’t paying attention and when he gets really excited he jumps up on us and can sometimes get a little mouthy. All of this is typical puppy behavior and correctable with training, consistency, and patience. Of course he has lots of energy so daily exercise is a must. An active household would be ideal for him and a fenced yard to run around in would be great. We think Tank would be best in a home without small children as he might accidentally knock them down. I will say that I am super impressed that he has only had one accident in the house. Way to go Tank!

We’ve been crating him at night (in our bedroom) and whenever we leave. He doesn’t seem to mind the crate, especially when he gets rewarded with a treat for going in . We have 2 adult dogs of our own (female is 7 years old, male is 3ish years old).  He gets along with both but especially our male dog. They have similar energy levels and both like to play. They really enjoy “rough housing” with each other. Tank would absolutely love to have a playmate in his forever home.

Please keep in mind that while Tank is a nice medium size right now, he’s definitely not done growing. He will be a large dog for sure.
