Happy Gotcha Day Valley!

MEET VALLEY!! Valley is a really sweet, special girl who we estimate to be about 12 years old. We think she is a lab/staffordshire terrier mix. Valley came to LFS after she and a poodle mix were left in a crate in the rain outside a vet’s office overnight. A barely legible, rain splattered note said, “take care of them because I can’t.” While it was hard to say for sure, the note seemed to say her name was Valley, so we kept it the same to try to reduce some of the confusion she was more than likely experiencing. The vet’s office was able to find a home for the poodle mix, and LFS took Valley in to give her a second chance at a forever home. Without a doubt, she deserved a better life than she had before. When found, Valley was thin, and she had some growths that we were initially concerned about. Valley saw a specialist, had the growths removed and biopsied, and now Valley has been given a clean bill of health. Throughout it all, Valley has maintained a wonderful attitude. She wags her tail and gives kisses at every opportunity. Don’t let her age fool you; Valley is very playful and active. She gets along with other dogs and is doing great in her foster home. Valley is even housebroken, and she doesn’t need to be crated at all. She sleeps on a blanket in her foster dad’s room. Valley knows some commands, like “sit” and “stay.” She is an overall wonderful dog who has plenty of life left to live and will shower you with love if you just give her the opportunity.

Please consider making this wonderful girl a member of your family, and give her the love that we all know she really deserves.
